Hello My Deer | Bambi Makeup Details & Breakdown

If you're anything like me and are always scrambling to get a costume together for Halloween, wearing ultra bold makeup is always a quick fix! Some people prefer to go for a horror film inspired look, but you know me, I'll skip the gore and opt for glam ;).

Lauren Gudz and I were looking through Pinterest and knew we had to give this adorable Bambi inspired makeup a try. These are the photos we came across and used for reference, all of these girls are such talented artists and you can find them on Instagram here: @Rebeccaaxxo @PhoebeiGutierrez @DressYourFace @beautylicious_beauty

Here are some of the key products Lauren Gudz used and a few pro tips on how to achieve this look.

For the cut crease, Lauren used the Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette, I’ll be posting a full review with swatches later on. We’ve become totally obsessed after using it just this one time!

Brows: Anastasia Brow Powder Duo Liner: Maybelline Gel Liner

This liner can be a bit tricky, just remember to take your time! Use small strokes rather than trying to do the full line in one go. This is a great Youtube tutorial if you need a bit more guidance.

For a flawless base, Lauren used the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, and RCMA No-Color Powder. To create the warmth around the forehead, we went with one of the Fenty Beauty Match Stix (Truffle).

Nose contouring is an essential part of this look, for that she used the warm browns from the same palette we used on the eyes! The gel liner that was used on the eyes was also used on the nose. For the most “realistic” animal nose, it’s important that the line stays even all the way across the nose.

The white spots were created by using a NYX Jumbo Pencil (Milk), remember that these don’t need to be perfect circles! If they’re all symmetrical and placed in a precise pattern, they won’t look as natural and animalistic.

Ulta Automatic Lip Liner (Spice) + Tarte Matte Lip Paint (Birthday Suit) +  Peaches & Cream Lipgloss (Suede)

All of these combined together created a gorgeous nude lip that I’m certain Bambi would approve of.

What do you guys think of this makeup, I was so sad to have to take it off! Let me know what your Halloween plans are and what you’ll be wearing in the comments below 🙂
