I’m a huge fan of Burt’s Bees, I cannot live without their Beeswax Lip Balm. I need to get my hands on their Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm before fall ends!
I gave the Cucumber and Sage Cleansing Towelettes a try a few years back, but I wasn’t terribly impressed. I’m a loyal fan of other products that they make so why not, decided to give the skincare range another shot! The brand is a whole is amazing, and who doesn’t love that they are cruelty-free and put a big focus on sustainability. Today, I’ll be reviewing a few items that are part of the “Renewal” collection. Refining Cleanser
This cleanser claims to gently exfoliate without stripping moisture or leaving a film/residue on the skin. Quite misleading! The exfolating granules were too large and felt sharp on the skin, and there was an unusually greasy film left behind. Altogether, this made for a rather unpleasant cleansing experience.
Intensive Firming Treatment
For only $20, this serum is pretty fab! I wouldn’t say I saw much improvement in the appearance of deep lines, but it did an excellent job daily exfoliating and made my skins texture ultra smooth. One thing I must note about this whole range is the scent. It smells sort of like apple cider vinegar, which personally I love! I did once have a friend tell me my freshly cleansed face smelled like salad dressing….
Smoothing Eye Cream
We’ve now arrived at the biggest disappointment; this cream was somewhat useless! It gave me some moisture but still left with puffiness, lines, and dark circles. Total fail!
Do you have any Burt’s Bees product you swear by? Let me know, and I’d love to try them out!
