I'm very picky when it comes to concealer. My combination skin can be a real pain in the ass and makes it hard to find something that lasts on the oily parts but won't look cakey on dry areas.
The Clove + Hallow Correct + Conceal is my go-to for covering up any blemishes and brightening up the t-zone. It’s medium/full coverage and has a matte finish, so it’s super long-lasting and makes for a bomb-ass eyeshadow base.
So my other fave is the Milk Flex Concealer. Because I tend to get dry patches around my eyes, this is usually what I reach for to cover dark circles. I love that the formula has a dewy finish, so it’s fab for highlighting too. If I’m going for a “no-makeup makeup” look, I’ll apply my tinted moisturizer and a few dots of the Flex Concealer where I want a bit more coverage and blend it out.
Regarding the shade range, Milk has 16 shades while Clove + Hallow only has 10. Milk is slightly more expensive ($34 vs. $18), but you do get about another 0.5oz more product. AND you can literally use every last drop of concealer because you can cut the tube and scrape it out. That being said, the Clove + Hallow packaging is definitely chicer in my opinion.
But girlfriend, both of these brands are vegan, free of nasty chemicals, and just generally hot effing fire. I’m a big fan of the Milk Charcoal Cleanser, it’s so perf for oily/acne prone or combination skin! I’ve also really been feeling the Clove + Hallow lippies (swatches), oil cleanser (full review), and mineral foundation (mini tutorial).
