The Best Fall Lip Colors for 2017

In my Fashion Faves post, I noted that it’s essential to have a good fall lipstick to complete the look. A bold lip always takes any outfit to the next level, plus there is just something sexy about a girl who rocks dark, moody lipstick with confidence! If you’re a little on the shy side, I’ve also included a few shades you might find a tad more approachable.

The Best Fall Lip Colours for 2017
Swatches starting from the far left: Subversive Socialite, Disturbed, Mosh Pit, Stone, and Fire Down Below.

NYX Liquid Suede ” Subversive Socialite”
Let me start by saying that I am not a matte lip kind of girl, but this liquid lipstick is a new favorite. It’s super smooth and won’t leave your lips chapped and flaky. This lasts SO long, but if there is a moment that you feel you need a touch-up, you can put on another coat without the formula getting thick or clumpy.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in “Disturbed”
I’m wearing this lippie in the photo below, and when I was out and about I got a ton of compliments on this Oxblood shade! This is a “comfort matte,” so it looks slightly matte, but not flat.

The Best Fall Lipsticks for 2017 Swatches and Reveiws

Colourpop Lippie Stix “Mosh Pit”
Typically lipsticks that are slightly more brown and neutral aren’t my thing. But his shade is so flattering on my fair skin! I did a full review and swatched a few other Lippie Stix shades in this post here.

Mac Lip Pencil “Stone”
Stone is one of my go-to lip liners for creating an ombre lip. This greyish-taupe shade might look a bit odd, but it pairs well with so many lipsticks!

NARS Lipstick “Fire Down Below”
But if you’re a bit scared to go for a darker lip, this red is a great low-key option for fall. The formula is smooth, pigmented, and is super comfortable on the lips.

Which is your favorite? I’ve been wearing “Disturbed” non-stop!
