I mean, who doesn't love a glam mermaid makeup situation?
For the hair, we used Dippity-Do Colorpop hair chalk in the shades true blue and aquamarine. The chalk is easy to apply and is super pigmented, but the color transferred onto the skin quite easily. But it actually kind of ended up working out for this mermaid makeup!
LLG TIP: If there is any sort of fallout from eyeshadow (or in my case, the hair chalk) then just take a fluffy brush and a generous amount of loose translucent powder to gently brush away the fallout. RCMA powder does this so well!
As for the makeup, doing mermaid scales is actually pretty simple. All you have to do is take some fishnet stockings, hold them over your skin and apply highlighter or eyeshadow over top. To complete the look, we added some pearls and gems. You can them at pretty much any craft store and you just need some lash glue to apply them (this one with the brush makes it easy)!
LLG TIP: Make sure you don’t move around the fishnet stockings until you’re finished or else the scales won’t be as defined.
Pop on some faux pearls, a sparkly headband and you’re a mermaid! Happy Halloween babes! If you need more Halloween makeup inspo, I have a cute deer tutorial as well as some more makeup and costume ideas here.
