Happy Holiday’s babes! The last several days have been filled with back to back Christmas parties, holiday events, and family gatherings. I may have disappeared from the blogosphere for a couple of days, but I’m back with a ton of posts to publish. So let’s get started!
I recently had a very special high tea at the Indigo Age Cafe. This vegan restaurant in downtown Vancouver makes amazing juice, salad, desserts, and tons of other delicious raw and gluten-free noms.
If you don’t already know, I’m gluten and dairy intolerant and Lauren is a vegan by choice. We were thrilled to see that Indigo Age offers an afternoon tea that is completely gluten-free and vegan! It was so nice to go for high tea and actually be able to eat every single piece of food, and not have to worry one bit. When our delicious tower arrived, the waitress told us to start with the savory bites at the bottom and work our way to the top…. aka, Drake style ;)! Stuffed mushrooms, raw pesto pizza, and mini sandwiches were just a few things we munched on alongside our organic tea. Now the top dessert tier was absolutely to die for, the berry cheesecake was my personal favourite.
Indigo Age has marvelous food, excellent service, and a super cozy atmosphere. I would definitely recommend coming for afternoon tea, but they have a ton of grab & go items if you want something healthy but you’re in a hurry. If you’re not a vegan, I would encourage you to check this spot just to see how incredible plant-based food can be.
