Last week, I attended the soft opening of MeeT in Yaletown. My allergies to gluten and dairy can be a bit of a pain, so I’m always on the hunt for restaurants in Vancouver that are allergy friendly. MeeT is a vegan restaurant that also has a location in Gastown and on Main St. It’s so nice to go to a restaurant where I can eat practically everything on the menu and not have to worry about a thing! Inside the space is modern, yet rustic and has gorgeous wood accents and unique lighting fixtures. It feels cozy and is a perfect spot for date night!
But no joke, I just about died when I saw the menu. Poutine, burgers, mac and cheese, cheesecake….. Yup, it’s all vegan! Most of the items are gluten free, or can be modified to suit. I’m currently craving their spinach artichoke dip, and their buffalo chiggen things (aka vegan buffalo wings) were to die for.
The servers were all super knowledgeable and attentive, they made sure our drinks were never empty ;)! I spoke with one of the owners for a brief moment, and it’s easy to see that him and his team are so passionate about the food they serve. He also noted that in their kitchen there are areas dedicated to those with allergies so there will be no risk of cross contamination which is definitely a plus!
