Serums are supercharged and ultra concentrated with ingredients that can make major changes in the skin over time.
These are my faves and what I would consider to be the best serums in the skincare game at the moment. I’ve broken it down by skin concern so you can find something that’ll work to get your complexion flawless and glowy AF.
SkinCeuticals Blemish and Age Defense – I’m totally obsessed! My breakouts are pretty much non-existent and it’s helped to balance out the oiliness. Pricey, but SO worth it if you struggle with adult acne.
Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum – This is a slightly more affordable option. It’s got salicylic acid in it, which is great for preventing breakouts and clogged pores.
OleHenricksen Truth Serum – I love how smooth this makes my skin feel, it helps keep my complexion glowy and bright AF.
My Organic Zone Vitamin C – Vitamin C is packed with antioxidants which help fight free radicals that come from pollution. For real, vitamin C is a MUST in your skincare routine. (Use my code LAUREN for 20% off your order!)
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum – This makes the skin SO smooth and helps reduce the appearance of acne scars and age spots.
However, hyperpigmentation is very hard to treat so you have to use your serum consistently for a few weeks to really see results.
The best way to avoid age spots is to make sure you wear a good SPF. These are all of my favorite sunscreens to keep your skin protected.
Coco Ensolleillé Rose Dew Serum – I just started using this and girlfriend… The dew is SO real. It takes a bit longer than most serums to soak in but it gives super intense hydration and that “lit from within” sort of glow. Love!
First Aid Beauty Anti-Redness Serum – This serum made a big difference and really helped calm the redness I get on my cheeks and around my nose.
First off, it’s key to remember that you might not see results from your serum at first! Most serums show results after about 4 weeks of use, so make sure to keep that in mind.
For the best results, apply your serum after you cleanse and tone your face. Toner helps to get your skin at an optimal pH level so your serum can absorb best. And make sure that your serum is completely absorbed before going in with your moisturizer.
If you want more suggestions, make sure to check out my skin type guides (NORMAL // DRY // OILY & ACNE PRONE // COMBINATION // SENSITIVE). They’re hella comprehensive and I spill all of the beauty tea for each skin type! Or if you don’t know your skin type, take my skin type test to find out!
