The Master Class by Mario Dedivanovic was a pretty magical experience. Here are a few things I learned from Kim Kardashian and Mario, plus my faves from the gift bag!
Mario is not super into makeup primers, he prefers to use a moisturizer (he used this moisturizer on Kim). A moisturizer helps nourish the skin and allows other products to really melt in, rather than look cakey on top. Like myself, he is a big Anastasia Beverly Hills fan and they are the only brow products he uses on his clients.
Kim Kardashian was so down to earth, the witty banter between her and Mario was just SO cute! Kim answered a ton of questions about what she looks for in a makeup artist. It’s key to be super professional, not ask personal questions, and just keep it all about the makeup.
A couple of the things Kim loves skincare wise are Neutrogena calming makeup remover wipes and a lot of the products from Guerlain. Of course, she’s all about getting her beauty sleep and drinking tons of water!
I love that Kim is not the kind of gal who let’s skincare go to waste. She says that if she is sent a facial product she doesn’t love, she’ll use it on her body instead. I am SO going to start doing this!
Kim told us that there have been many times where she’s gotten her makeup done before a long flight and she has to sleep in her makeup because she has work to do as soon as she lands. Kim K, you are defs the queen of glam!
Huda Beauty Lashes “Giselle”
These lashes are giving me life! They’re so comfortable to wear and look so glam.
Giorgio Armani Beauty Eye Tint in “Gold Ashes” #12
It’s shimmery but definitely not too glittery which is fab because you can also use it as a highlighter.
Circa Ultra Suede Blush
This blush is so beautiful on the skin, it is super pigmented and the consistency allows for easy blending. I made the assumption that Circa was a luxury cosmetics brand because of the packaging… But it’s actually a drugstore brand created by Eva Mendes!
Original BeautyBlender + BlenderCleanser Solid
Mario used a damp BeautyBlender to apply translucent powder (he used this powder on Kim) to lock in Kim’s makeup. I have started using this technique and the finish it gives on the skin is really natural and not cakey at all. It really locks down the products and if you have oily skin you should defs be applying powder this way! The BlenderCleanser is an absolute game changer, it’s become one of my brush cleaning essentials.
If you’re a makeup artist or just a makeup lover, I would TOTALLY recommend going to The Master Class by Mario. Mario was super thorough in explaining his techniques and had a lot of great advice. There are more dates on The Master Class website so make sure to check those out.
